You are invited to a virtual afternoon tea party

To help us through the month of February and to give us something to look forward to, a special Galentine’s Day virtual afternoon tea party will be held on 13th February. It will be hosted on Galentine’s Day to celebrate friendship and a mutual love for tea. The theme for the event is pink, so a variety of pink related foods will be showcased and pink tableware.

Eileen Donaghey, the Afternoon Tea Expert®, who will host the event, will also be wearing pink and you are encouraged to use this as an excuse to dress up. We are in the middle of lockdown three in the U.K with very little reason to dress up so please feel free to wear something pink and wear something that makes you feel good. It’s definitely going to be a fun yet informative experience. You’ll learn about afternoon tea and it gives us all an opportunity to talk about how much we all love afternoon tea. Even though it is on Galentine’s Day everyone is welcome to join.

We will cover:

  • Setting the table and using the correct utensils

  • The difference between hotel settings and at home

  • How to pour the tea correctly

  • Teacup etiquette

  • Breaking the scone and how to eat it correctly

The event will last one hour and there will be time for you to ask questions. The event will be hosted by Eileen Donaghey, The Afternoon Tea Expert. The event will also be recorded and accessible for two weeks post event.

Previous event feedback:

Eileen hosted an Afternoon Tea Party on Zoom to launch her book. She showed us a beautifully laid table and went through the preferred etiquette. It was a lovely event attended by enthusiasts from Japan to California to Argentina. What a lovely event and a great way to have a little celebration especially during lock down. We really enjoyed it.

Excellent class on how to have an proper afternoon tea! Eileen was very professional and provided lots of great information. She also took the time to answer our questions. Thank you Eileen!

I joined Eileen Virtual afternoon tea party event from Japan. She’s a perfect tea expert who explains about afternoon tea and answer to our questions kindly. In addition to Her English is easy to listen for me who is Japanese. It was very good experience to know tea Etiquette.

I participated in Eileen’s Zoom class to preview the content of her ebook and to provide an overview of the intricacies of afternoon tea. She is a delightful hostess with great style. Eileen is exceptionally knowledgeable and imparted all of us with the etiquette and specifics about hosting an afternoon tea. I look forward to reading her ebook and hosting my own event based upon her tastefully curated suggestions.
