Afternoon tea preview: Park Corner Brasserie

This month, I had the pleasure of visiting the Hilton on Park Lane to try their winter afternoon tea menu. Launched as part of London Hilton’s multi-million-pound refurbishment, Park Corner Brasserie has unveiled a Winter Afternoon Tea menu that captures the warming deliciousness of the season. Purveyors of a quintessentially English experience, Park Corner Brasserie invites guests to escape the city chill and indulge in a blend of traditional and contemporary delights, expertly crafted and rich with flavours to compliment the colder days. As you can see from the photographs, the cake stand is very modern and unique.

Chefs Jean-Didier Gouges and Sam Leatherby draw influences from London’s winter with a menu that features an array of exclusive items. Guests can savour the comfort of the unique loose-leaf tea offering with a collection from Cornwall-based partners, Tregothnan, while winter-inspired dishes include Pearl barley & mushroom croquettes; smoked salmon, caper and tarragon cream cheese sandwiches, and Park Corner Brasserie’s signature London Plane Cake with mulled apple gel. The London Plane Cake is inspired by the restaurant’s neighbouring Hyde Park and named after the London Plane trees that fill the area. The delicious cake uses the vanilla-flavoured herb woodruff as its magic ingredient as it grows all over the UK, including in Hyde Park and adds a delicious nutty quality to the cake. The afternoon tea is priced at £65 per person.

Park Corner Brasserie also offers a Children’s Afternoon Tea where little ones can delight in a whimsical assortment of miniature sandwiches, freshly baked treats, and child-friendly beverages, all presented with a touch of playful creativity, making it a memorable and magical dining experience for young guests.

I really enjoyed the experience, the room has a beautiful view of Park Lane and we were so well looked after by the staff. Thank you to Jennifer Moyes for capturing the wonderful photographs.
