Great Scotland Yard Afternoon Tea

In collaboration with Floris London, The Parlour at Great Scotland Yard Hotel will launch its new summer afternoon tea on Monday 3rd June, bringing the Amalfi Coast to London this summer. The afternoon tea is inspired by Floris London's “Bergamotto di Positano” fragrance, a refreshing blend of bergamot entwined with mandarin and balmy marine notes, orange blossom, vanilla and amber which encapsulates the signature aromas of the Amalfi Coast. This afternoon tea collaboration promises to give guests ‘The faint sensation of forgotten summer hideaways that enflame hazy memories.’

The top notes of the fragrance have been skilfully interpreted into the menu with the introduction of typical ingredients of the coast and a re-interpretation of signature popular dishes of the Amalfitan culinary tradition, adapted to the setting of an afternoon tea. From Frittata di zucchine, particularly popular along the Amalfi Coast during summer, to Stracciatella, smoked salmon and caviar bruschetta which bring to the table the marine essence, the menu architecture has been carefully designed ensuring each dish has a story about Positano and the Amalfi Coast.

Warm scones are also served with Cornish Clotted Cream and Orange Jam, with a selection of sweet treats also available. These include the Almond & Cocoa Torta Caprese, Capri’s iconic cake, and Amalfi Lemon Delight “Delizia al Limone”, a priceless heritage that contains all the perfume and aroma of the “yellow gold” for excellence, the Limone Costa d’Amalfi I.G.P. (Protected Geographical Indication). In addition, the traditional babà with orange blossom, a traditional essence that pervades the houses of nonna along the coast during Spring will give guests a real taste of the coast. The afternoon tea offers three irresistible options: For £59, savour the Standard Afternoon Tea, a delightful selection of savoury bites and sweet treats crafted to perfection.
